Trail Description

The Beaver Ponds Trail is very family friendly for how easy it is. It’s great for a leisurely walk in the woods. The trail starts out for a mile or so through some lush forests on a windy trail. At 1-1.5 miles in you will start to see open fields off the trail where the ponds are. When we hiked this in July, the ponds didn’t have visible water. They look more like marsh fields. After the ponds, it continues through some open drier woods. Eventually, you will reach an intersection that connects to the Blacktail Ridge Trail or Continental Divide Trail. We decided to stop here and turn back.
